SD PHULLARWAN Girls Senior Secondary School started cultural celebrations to mark the completion of 50 years of the institution.

Today, on the first day, inter-school singing and dancing competitions were held under 'Suswar Jhankar'. The chief guest in this was District Education Officer Harjinder Kaur. Apart from this, the special guest was Suraj Kaler, District Manager Employment Generation, Skill and Training Development, Jalandhar. Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, who is Deputy Project Director in the Agriculture Department, Jalandhar, also came specially. Apart from this, many old students of the school, Jyoti Sharma (Punjab Police), Nidhi Khosla were also present in the program.

Most of the honorable people who were made judges were also old students of the school. Kiran Verma, Mrs. Mahindu, Nidhi Khosla, Sharmila ji, Sahay ji etc. The performance of the children showed that their preparation was going on for many days. At the end of the function, Bhangra was performed which made the atmosphere even better.

Before this, the children were given prizes. Children from Doaba Khalsa Model School, Devi Sahai SD School, APJ Rama Mandi, Jalandhar Public School, Seth Hukam Chand SD School, Pioneer International Public School, BSF School, Manav Sahayog School and Sarvhitkari School participated in the events. Principal Amar Jyoti Sharma thanked all these schools for participating.

District Education Officer Harjinder Kaur told the children that such events inspire them to move ahead in life. These also bring out the hidden talents within you, which makes it easier to choose the condition and direction of life.
